How we research

This is an editorial research process, not a “How We Test” lab claim. We do not invent listening scores or pretend we ran chamber measurements.

Sources we use

Manufacturer manuals, spec sheets, and port diagrams
Retailer listings for dimensions, what’s in the box, and who the seller is
General category research on common setup problems and caveats (we don’t cite or summarize specific reviews)

How we rank (when we rank)

Value for apartment buyers — not affiliate commission
Fit — compact bias, placement, and neighbor-aware bass caveats
Dialogue / job-to-be-done — TV voices, movies, desk, wiring
Features only when they help the stated job

What we won’t claim

No fabricated “we measured X dB in our apartment” lines. When a guide is still thin, we say so and link related paths instead of padding with fake certainty.
